Issues & Recommendations
The Issues & Recommendations page turns your AI visibility data into a prioritised action list — helping you understand what to fix, and in what order, to improve how AI engines describe your brand.
Overview
The Issues & Recommendations page (/projects/{id}/recommendations ) analyses your visibility, sentiment, source, and competitor data and surfaces a prioritised list of issues — each with a specific, actionable recommendation attached.
Rather than simply reporting what's happening, it tells you what to do about it and in what order — scored by Impact vs Effort.
Professional plan required. AI-powered issue generation, status tracking, and CSV export are available on the Professional plan. Starter users can see the static sections but cannot generate AI issues.
Generating Issues
Click Generate Recommendations (or Regenerate if you've run it before) to analyse your project data and produce a fresh set of issues. Generation typically takes 10–30 seconds.
Each run replaces the previous set of issues. Your status tracking (Todo / Resolved / Ignored) is reset when you regenerate.
Issue Categories
Issues are grouped into five categories:
| Category | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Visibility | Prompts where your brand isn't being mentioned |
| Sentiment | Negative or declining tone in AI responses |
| Competitor Gap | Areas where competitors outperform you in share of voice |
| Content Coverage | Missing journey stages or topic clusters |
| Citation & Authority | Sources that influence AI but don't mention your brand |
Priority Scoring
Each issue is scored by Impact (1–5) and Effort (1–5), and given an overall Priority Score that balances high impact with low effort. Use the sort controls to order issues by priority, impact, or effort.
Focus on high priority, low effort issues first to build momentum quickly.
Issue Status Tracking
Each issue has a status you can update directly on the page:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Todo | Not yet actioned (default) |
| Resolved | You've implemented the recommendation |
| Ignored | Not relevant or deprioritised |
Status is shown in the footer count — useful for tracking progress across a recommendation set.
Filtering & Sorting
Use the controls above the issue list to:
- Filter by status — view only Todo, Resolved, or Ignored issues
- Filter by category — focus on a specific issue type (e.g. only Competitor Gap)
- Sort by Priority Score, Impact, or Effort (ascending or descending)
CSV Export
Click Export CSV to download the full issue list as a spreadsheet — useful for sharing with your team or tracking implementation in your own project management tool.
Static Sections
Below the AI-generated issues, the page also includes four static sections that are always visible:
- Prompt Improvements — a summary of your prompt coverage, sentiment split, and any missing journey stages
- Source & Citation Opportunities — the top cited domains for your project, with content strategy guidance
- Competitor Insights — a share-of-voice snapshot comparing your brand against tracked competitors
- AEO & SEO Actions — a general checklist of Strategy, Content, Design/UX, Technical, and Measurement actions to improve AI and organic visibility
Free Consultation
At the bottom of the page you can request a free consultation with the One Cloud Media AEO & SEO team. Select the areas you want advice on and submit — the team will follow up directly.
Acting on Recommendations
Tracking progress
After implementing a recommendation, re-run the specific prompts most relevant to the action to measure impact. Results typically take 2–8 weeks to appear as AI engines update their knowledge.
Iterating
Not every recommendation will move the needle immediately. Treat AI visibility improvement as an ongoing process:
- Implement a recommendation
- Wait 4–6 weeks
- Re-run prompts and check Trends
- Assess impact and regenerate recommendations
Getting help
If you need help interpreting recommendations or building an action plan, consider:
- Using the Free Consultation form at the bottom of the Recommendations page
- Reviewing the Sources page to identify your highest-value citation targets
- Checking the Dashboard to understand which journey stages need the most attention
